Hello HoSang family,

I just learned of Brian's sudden and tragic death and the shock of it hasn't hit me yet.  I am so terribly sorry for your loss and I know how difficult this time can be.  I just wanted to let you all know that I am thinking about your family. 

Although we lived far away and didn't know each other very well, Brian has always had a little place in my heart.  Ever since the very first dinner with the Smiths and the HoSangs when Simone and I were in 7th grade, your family has been a part of my life and Brian, like the zany little brother I wished I had.  His love for life was apparent from the moment I met him.  I remember playing Blind Man's Bluff with Simone, Brian and his friends when I came to visit in 10th grade.  I remember how welcoming and enthusiastic Brian was when I saw him at Simone & Damian's wedding.  He was an incredible man and I am so thankful that I had the chance to call him a friend. 

I truly love your family.  The goodness and love you have shown each other is reflected in each one of you.  Brian was no exception.  He will be sincerely missed.  I wish I could be with you all right now, to give a hug and grieve together but please know that I am thinking about you and love you all very much.

Dear Vinnie & Jeanette, Sabrina, Damian and Simone,

We share your pain and grief as we mourn the seeminly untimely and tragic loss of Brian from this life on earth. His adult life was only just beginning, and his future seemed so bright!

But we are reminded that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. (Ps.46.1). in His beatitudes, He also promises "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted" (Matt 5:4).

God does hold (all) our future in His hands, so we must continue to trust Him for everything and in all circumstances. May you cling to His promise that He will never leave us nor forsake us. Seek comfort from the the Comforter, the Holy Spirit.
